My first Penn State Centre Stage show.

I went to Penn State with the intention of being a stage manager, although it didn’t last long. Due to coming in with Covid restrictions, my first show assignment didn’t happen until my second year. It was an honor to work on this piece with such an incredible team.

My role and responsibilities.

I was one of two Assistant Stage Managers and that lead to the following responsibilities both in the rehearsal room and on the stage:

  • Set up and break down of the rehearsal space.

  • Updating prop tracking as needed.

  • Delegate the run crew to different tracks in the production.

  • Make prop hand-offs as needed during the performance.
